The SAGE Mission

SAGE receives its funding by assisting local governments in becoming more efficient and we have real proven successes. The overall mission of SAGE is a bit more ambitious - and important.

To quantify the efficiency of government processes.

The reason for this is simple. Those things that can be quantified and measured bring about improvement. Imagine if you could compare local county governments directly and fairly with a objective and research proven number. This would have a tremendous impact on the operation of government. Governments would now  have the incentive to improve their numbers - simply because the measure exists.

How will we do this?

To complete such an ambitious task we have to truly understand all the processes that government is involved in. We do this by analyzingand publishing government processes. Of course we need to be funded - this is a University - so we do real work for real governments in our local area. As we learn more and develop expertise in government - we get closer to meeting this goal.
