Introduction

 

The SAGE project has two parts. One part is the production of open source software to support government business processes (and is documented within this wiki), the other part is the methodology by which we collect and analyze the business requirements for government processes. This methodology and the business process analysis results are documented here.

 

The SAGE Method

 

The UCF SAGE team practices AGILE development by design, and feedback at every step of every project is key. The tenets of stakeholder involvement are key to every stage. Examples of the analysis and methods are included on this page.

Assessment of Process or Unit

 

The SAGE process must first assess the true need and overall requirements of the system. This is an-depth analysis of the duties of a department or division, a statement of the problem to be solved, the objectives of the system development, a listing of the stakeholders with concerns and impacts, and a detailed description of all business processes, and a list of system expectations with use cases.
